In cooperation with TRENPEX, truck and rail processing is automated touch-free via video gate systems. OCR applications from TRENPEX-Rail & RoadGate, in combination with TRUDI and the TRENPEX software solution, minimize processing times! In addition to optical image data management, axle load weighing is performed on each railcar.
Container delivery and collection can be initiated by the freight forwarder's or truck driver's dispatcher hours before the truck's physical arrival at the gate. With prior vehicle registration (license plate), the license plate number, delivery or collection reference, and the container number are sufficient for the vehicle to enter the terminal directly via barcode after pre-registration. The crane position is then transmitted by the TOS (Transport Operations System) directly to the driver's mobile device or to the freight forwarder's dispatching software.
If the data is available to the terminal in advance, the data is processed centrally by the TOS before the container is delivered, and processes are initiated that ensure fast processing through targeted resource management and dispatching of the transport unit.
Real-time relief in the transport process
High-performance and modern OCR video systems and hardware components enable significant progress in terminal resource management via a central data hub and the TRENPEX Rail/Road Portal.
Data from OCR recognition, booking data of the driver or dispatcher run via the DataHub directly into the terminal operation system, are collected, managed and made available precisely for gate-in and gate-out during the INTERCHANGE processing.
Immediately after data implementation for an export container, the terminal knows exactly where the container will be placed to find its spot on the train to the seaports. Waiting times are minimized, and storage space is optimized. Import containers can be prepared in advance of pickup.
The interplay of central data management and OCR hardware is used to the advantage of intermodal transport in the terminal.
The freight forwarder is integrated into the Trenpex portal.
Each user and device thus has access to a web-based interface that allows control over all truck movements and freight data.
The terminal has the ability to retrieve transport data in advance of the container's delivery, which is particularly important when it comes to the timely completion of train operations.
